Boone asked his earthly sidekick to cheer me up

Whenever I’m having a down day, I think Boone sends a signal to his heavenly sidekick, Tuck, and asks him to do something goofy to put a smile on my face.

He must have sent a signal Saturday because Tuck introduced us to his modified version of Boone’s famous rock-retrieving (Tuck prefers the little spruce tree cones that fall) and demonstrated his skillful spins :-).

And yes, this put a smile on my face.

Our sweet & crazy Boone was diagnosed with osteosarcoma in December 2016, and amputation was performed January 24, 2017. Five weeks post-amp a mass in his chest and lung mets were discovered. He left us way too soon on March 14, 2017...tail wagging in the peaceful sunshine of our living room. His big heart and personality is missed.

    1. Thank you Tina and Manni 💕. It sounds as though Manni is a kindred spirit to our Alaskan fur kids 😊.

And you can count on updates. I’m sure Boone has more humorous moments planned with his earthly sidekick.

  4. OMD, thank you for that. I’ve been on the verge of strangling any number of people this morning and Tuck’s gymnastics made me laugh! A lot!

    1. Tuck has a way of changing perspectives. Glad he was able to pull you back from the strangling brink ;-). Thanks for stopping by, Teri!

  5. Jeanette, Tuck & Angel Boone,
We just read your story this morning and were so touched by Tuck and Boone. Boone sure left big paws to fill – what a great character and a very handsome boy. Tuck is lucky to have you and it’s clear you feel the same about him. His super hero spins made us laugh too! Thanks for sharing the videos (Boone’s rock collecting is too much) Best to you and your family – Amy & Rusty

    1. Thank you Amy & Rusty. Yes, Boone left some HUGE paws to fill and Tuck usually manages to find a way to make us laugh or smile every day.

His zoomies are the best but a bit scary – he doesn’t seem to know how to stop unless he runs into something ;-).

      Thanks for stopping by.

    1. They do know how to brighten a gray day and bring a smile, don’t they Michelle?

I have a sign in my office that reads: “Life without dogs…I don’t think so.”
